So, I'm looking for a job, no such luck! Last year I said I was going to finish school, plan the wedding, and then work on the house... Well, all of that is done, and now, no job! I'm being picky, which is a good thing, except it's hard to be confident when all I have is a Masters degree. Ha! "All" I have? It's sad that I feel like I need more than an MA to get the job I want. Any Suggestions?

ReplyDeleteHey! How funny that we picked the same background. I started a blog too (mostly so my parents could see pictures). http://marissa-breann.blogspot.com/ Your story sounds a lot like mine. I wish I had suggestions besides be wary of shady jobs off the internet. I'll wish you luck instead. : )

ReplyDeleteDon't get discouraged. A couple of suggestions: 1) work on the community college teaching certificate at Fresno State. It can't hurt. 2) volunteer. That's what prompted some of my best jobs. It's a long story but essentially, I met people in my volunteer activities who got to know me and then knew of great jobs for me. They even became my advocates in getting those jobs. Most of all, don't get discouraged. You're a very talented young woman with a bright future.

Kai - you should stick with babysitting. The MA is plenty enough, and the people you work for are the bomb. Being a teacher is overrated.
